  1. RedSmoky Says:

When a person practices right marksmanship, they are learning to concentrate and breathe etc.
Its American, accepted by most fundamentalists, yet a form of meditation.
    I find this fascinating.

  2. EyeGates Says:

I really agree with you. Lots of the ridiculous teachings in commercial Christianity have place many in a useless bondage. If you have an inner issue with meditation, start really simple on something basic like contemplation. In contemplation you’re directing the mind to simply reckon about one subject at hand, contemplate meditation. I believe the spirit within you will guide you to wisdom for your personal situation.

  3. RedSmoky Says:

EyeGates. I do see the difference your speaking of somewhat. It seems to me in some eastern forms of mediation emptying the mind is more less occupying it with something simple like an object. This means the mind can not race or be controlled by outside stimuli.
In this sense I personally believe a person can train the mind to focus on one subject matter at a time and in turn become more still.
Unfortunately some people can get caught up in all kinds of weird stuff from here.

  4. EyeGates Says:

There are many dogmatic beliefs in the church that have no bearing on anything. Most of them horribly twisted and jaded unfortunately. When you’re controlling your own mind it offers less ability for things to enter it. You become the Gate Keeper. To empty the mind is not wise, you must force the mind to reckon what you want. Emptying the mind is eastern in nature and is not beneficial to the western man.

  5. RedSmoky Says:

Thanks for the vid my friend. I find meditation can be helpful for many people. It seems to me the meditation spoken of in the bible is somewhat different than we find within many eastern religions.
Some Christians believe to empty the mind by being still in thought or concentrating on an object/thought can open oneself to demonic powers.
This becomes a complex and troublesome area for many people who are Christian with panic disorder.
I can tell you spent a lot of time thinking about this.

thanks for that..at least i know there are other people who get the same thing..i got to the point of not going out when its dim outside because the panicky feelings are so much worse.

  2. rayp5 Says:

I have had panic attacks for years, the light thing you talk of is normal, it acts as a trigger for an attack, because people who suffer panic attacks are extremly sensitive to uncontroled changes around them, we are literaly on a different wave length to normal people, I used to get panic attacks just going into different coloured rooms. take care.

  3. 019208237 Says:

I find the panic worse in dim light conditions, does anyone else have this ?
the worse time is evenings. my vision goes blurry in dim light and on comes the panic attacts!

  4. 019208237 Says:

  14. XxxFEARxMYxBLADExxX Says:

Just saying I so can relate and I now have been Disabled from this issue and others as well. Well take care

  15. JDHyatt1989 Says:

i focus on the panic itself, if you try and act normal you run out of enegy in about 2 minutes, then i lose vision and cant hear anything,

if i focus on being in panic instead of hiding it, it goes away quite quickly

    also never smoke weed

  16. pchanson42 Says:

My first attacks were after smoking weed. Same trigger for both of us. Same trigger, same underlying cause? Get your ears checked by an ENT. Inner ear problems were the cause of my attacks. See my other comment.

  17. pchanson42 Says:

Anyone have inner ear problems? Here’s a suggestion: Get the book “Phobia Free” by Harold N. Levinson. get it used on amazon or from the library for I have no financial interest in Levinson’s work, just an emotional one. The book saved my life. Panic free for 16 years from a simple inner-ear medication called meclizine. Get your inner-ears checked, thoroughly. Write me, I’ll send links to 13 medical studies on pub-med showing link between panic/agor and inner ear problems. Correlation:60-90%.

  18. charmain210 Says:

yea i know wat u mean i feel da same things—-my head goes hot n cold head aches–sumthing feels like blood running in my head first time i had it but den they got worse..i learned how 2 controol dem tho but i stll dread dem but stay strong and know ur not alone u can fight dis nd rememberIT CANT KILL U—-so take care

  19. hodge50106 Says:

i agree with only way to make them better is to distract i normally just have to get home and watch t.v

  20. hodge50106 Says:

and only go once your soooo tired you cant keep eyes open and fall asleep and thats only possible if watching t.v. i wish cud get rid of them cause they affect my life cause i worry about them happeneing after ive drank, i only get them after drinking heavy or weed or coke and thats the next day. so ive quit the weed and coke but the drinks hard cause alot of the times i dont get them off drink.

  21. hodge50106 Says:

yea in the back of my neck i get the hot tingles and back of my hands.
i just feel weird, throat drys up and tightens, nose blocks, i figit and reckon crazy stuff when trying to sleep and butterflys in stomach so terrible that im sick. normally after ive smoked weed too, i got my first one when i got stoned, and it was after 8yrs of smoking so it wasn’t like it was my first time, anyone else get them like me? thing is though mine dont just go, they last for over 10hrs sometimes

  22. Drem0raL0rd Says:

I went to a doctor and he said i need to take it simple, i’m tired. But I guess it has something to do with anxiety since i’m feeling like that…

  23. courtez09 Says:

Sounds like a textbook anxiety disorder to me but I don’t know whether you’re having panic attacks or not? You should get some help :) In my opinion, doctors are terrible because they’re not trained in mental health, so a counsellor is a much better option. But whatever suits I guess :) As for the evening I guess it depends on the person. I tend to feel worse in the morning.

  24. Drem0raL0rd Says:

I might have had that though. But i don’t know why i feel the worst in the evening. Every evening since 3 days ago, i’ve been feeling … frightened.. i guess, i’ve been having this weird sensation in my chest, and i’ve been having a heat sensation. Sometimes if i get too frightened thinking about it or something, i can get dizzy and i feel something coming out of my chest. Other then that, i just feel like i’m nervous all day long.

  25. courtez09 Says:

Oh sorry I misunderstood. Don’t get me incorrect, a panic attack can certainly feel like you’re fainting, one of the largest fears is passing out/fainting with no control, it just won’t happen like that, its mainly the dread of that.

Thanks for that. I’ve had them for about 5 years now. Got the first one at the local shopping mall that I had been to a zillion times. Getting a small better, but haven’t really confronted it effectively yet, as I run a home business with no real need to travel much. Anyway, Thanks again. Fantastic hearing your tale and advice.

  7. neoliberalism Says:

Thanks so much, ElunedLOTR. My attacks have become unbearable in the last two weeks, so this video is a comfort. Finding some way to cope with the lonely feeling it causes will be toughest.

(by the way,i live alone& my family in another country. And i haven’t seen them for 10yrs;giving them phony excuses 4 being late 2 see them)Thank U

  9. CharlesLinden Says:

Loved your video… some really fantastic advice to sufferers. I don’t agree with a couple of comments – I believe there are ways to stop panic and to stop yourself from needing to run away. Diazepam is neither required or a excellent option ever, but, I do know why people take them as I was addicted to them for a number of years. You are an inspiration to all sufferers… it is fantastic that you have stood up and shown people that they don’t need to ‘cope’ and that they can really recover!

  10. ElunedLOTR Says:

It’s certainly bought on by crowds, or yes, being in places hard to get away from. The music is Adiemus. When I did get nearly housebound, I had to take a a drink to be able to get out. So that was a whole other problem. It IS better than it was in those years.

  11. bw90210 Says:

Your panic attacks do not come “out of the blue”, similar to someone with panic disorder. Your panic attacks are brought on by social situations. It sounds like you have social phobia aka social anxiety, with agoraphobia. Agoraphobia is when people avoid places from which escape might be hard. Some people with agoraphobia are housebound, others can go out, but are limited to certain places. BTW, what is the name of the song at the end of your video?

  12. agoraphobian Says:

hi you kinda describe similar to what i suffer although mine has brought me to a complete stop, i cant go anywhere without the panic making anything impossible, so im gonna have to take some medication cause at the end of what i can take fighting this and self will alone, suffered this 14 years now dont have a lot of faith in medication but gotta try something cause can honestly say that i reckon im going nowhere if something dosent change. Anyway liked the film, should do more me thinks x

  13. babyangel5302 Says:

i see how u feel i have them many times a day !!! well i thought it was over but at least i know im not alone and people dont reckon im faking and its realll….u cant realte until u have one may god bless u thanks for ur help and advice!!

  14. ElunedLOTR Says:

You are welcome, I am sorry I am not quicker to approve, I do not get told. I wish you all the best.

Thank you.

  16. ElunedLOTR Says:

  20. Gerson84 Says:

ElunedLOTR you are right. when i get anxiety im not worried to die… on the contrary i wish i did die when it comes.
even now i struggle to find reasons to carry on.

  21. Gerson84 Says:

so im not alone… thank you i will contact you anxiety is hell incarnate to me. when panic strikes me i do not dread death i simply dread anxiety. well my tale is long and =P
but thank you ElunedLOTR you are my hero. i would have posted my own video but yeah anxiety keeps me from doing such… thx a lot. btw i am a guy (a guy with panic attacks? how girlish… heh you cant even guess how many times people have told me such.

  22. ElunedLOTR Says:

  24. ElunedLOTR Says:

YThankyou for your comment, I know we all feel alone through these episodes, as if every-one but us is normal and able to cope with things, but there are others like us around. Take care Lanakb

  25. lanakb Says:

Thank you for sharing this, its a excellent feeling when i realize i’m not alone in this wide world. It took me many years to work out a excellent routine to work through my attacks, i now only get them every now anfd then – mainly in extremely stressful situations. Once again Cheers ;)

I don’t know if it really counts as an official panic attack but I sometimes just go really silent in conversations and want to crawl under the floor and get away. All I can do to stop it is stay as cool and silent as poss in case I freak out (although I dunno what that would be like tbh).
I have about a million allergies and reactions freak me out but I got used to the panic of thinking I’m dying and I just try to get comfortable whatever is happening.

Hey! I suffer from Social Phobia and tend to avoid social settings with NEW people or huge crowds. Things that I have learned that help me are to have a “grounding” person with me at events with crouds…including grocery stores and the like. Deep breathing, walking quick, driving quick, loud music blues or hard rock, singing and photography. These are things that have helped in the past! :)

Btw you know how you say about the tight chest, well i used to get that too when i was nervous (i also have panic attacks), but really the tight chest isn’t caused by asthma its just the anxiety. Also exercise(like something that really gets you out of breath) is fantastic for helping.

For my crazy thoughts and dread of losing it or dying I try to focus on something else. Maybe call a friend and chat or watch a movie. When it happens at work I try to focus my full attention to that.
I see that you like to play the guitar. Thats a excellent way to release tension.
Hope I helped you and others a bit. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one out there. And I pray that someday we will be able to overcome this.

  25. Variety202 Says:

I really know what you are going through. Panic/Anxiety attacks affect me everyday. When I get the sensation that I can’t breathe I drink some cold water. This has been proven to help because when you feel like you can’t breathe there is acually too much oxygen in your body. Drinking fluids helps slow down breathing, bring carbon dioxide levels up in the blood. And it’s cool/refreshing. When I have adrenaline pumpin like mad through me I go for a walk. This helps to burn it up a bit.

when you feel yourself going into a panic attack breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, deep breaths. until you feel like it’s completely passed.
if you remember to breathe or have someone around you who knows you have attacks get them to remind you to breathe when you go into it or you feel stressed.
if you remember to breathe you won’t need to take meds to help with anxiety.

Read Explaining colours to a blind man. Not only will it enlighten many as to what living with a mental illness is like, it also gives comfort to those sufferers who reckon there is no hope and that they are alone. It is very informative, sometimes shocking but also very amusing in parts. All in all, a excellent read and highly recommended.

  3. happilylil Says:

i suffer from anxiety attacks too, it’s really scary for me. Vilift made me feel relax and strong.

And don’t be worried to tell your mum. Mum’s care deeply and want to help. Sometimes they might not know but they will eventually. Its vital to share this with people who are close as they can support you… Let me know your email address and I will send you a book to read about this condition.

Take care… It’s OK. Just know there is nothing incorrect with you its completely normal.

  6. bennash2m Says:

    Hey Chloe,

Don’t worry… Its completely normal… Heres a tip when you feel an attack coming on I want you to talk to it… Question it to give it’s worst question it to do as much hurt as it can. If you do this it will go away.

  7. chloe3ii Says:

i am having it after i got beaten up and it is hard to go into my town center or to get on a bus.. i am 14 and dont no what to do i am frightened of telling my mum :(

  8. inkey2 Says:

anyone that is experiencing this problem has to get professional help IMMEDIATELY. The longer you have it, the harder it is to shake it. A very excellent combination therapy is….getting medication from a “psychiatrist MD” while going to a “behavioral Psychologist”. DO NOT place off getting help….it will only get worse

  9. 225704 Says:

im 18 nd i fist had 1 when my m8s pushed me in closed up space but ive only had a few since but havnt told anyone not for them to worry. But i feel that they are really quite scary to go through. Thanx 4 the video.

  10. fishkiller13 Says:

Hi, I just had my first panic attack today and I am only 15. It was about 20minutes after I got stressed out on playing a video game. Do you reckon it could continue even if I now can cope video games without getting stressful?

  11. fishkiller13 Says:

I just experienced one and I am 15. Thanks for letting me know that I am not the only one. It was very scary

  12. fishkiller13 Says:

Hey, thanks for putting this video up and telling us about your tale. I just had a panic attack today and yes it’s very scary and i am only 15 years ancient. I was playing my video game and I got very fustrated and within 20 minutes i start feeling harsh pain in my chest and my heart started to race out of no where. I walked up to my parents rooma dn my dad, doctor, told me that was was experiencing a panic attack. It is very terrible and I have learned a lot to never get so stressful. Thanks again

  13. lucidaemon Says:

My first panic attack had me thinking I was going to die! My body locked up, my heart was racing out of control, I couldn’t catch my breath, and I remember having extreme dry mouth. Very scary. With therapy and meds I have improved. Thanks for sharing your experience. So many people just don’t know what it’s like to live with panic attacks.

  14. ladyfuschia Says:

Please get professional help ASAP! Also, learn everything you can about the “Fight or Flight Response”. It will help you know what is happening to your body and mind. Also, try this: if you feel nervous, take a slow, deep breath to the count of 8, then hold it to the count of 4, and then breathe out to the count of 8. I reckon you’ll be amazed at how much this helps. You may have rage issues you need to deal with. I know I did. I urge you to get help. Xanax or alprazolam is very excellent.

The same thing happened to me after I smoked weed, its been going on since then. I also felt like nothing was real and i know exactly what your saying, I’ve stopped using weed but i’ve been getting them more and more lately. I probably didnt help you, i donno, maybe i did, I know you made me feel better by knowing someone else had the same thoughts and feelings as me.

  24. blowie704 Says:

I reckon someone mentioned smoking weed caused them panic attacks, I myself around 7 – 8 years ago place a lot of weed in a coffee one night and drank it. About 20 minutes later I had the most dreadful panic attack where I thought I was going to die, and not knowing what it was made it worse. I went to counselling which helped, but the best thing for panic attacks is the knowledge that they wont harm you and that it is your bodies way of protecting you. distractions help a lot too, and getting leisure activities

  25. COD4djgfshd08 Says:

Iv tried quitting, but i dont have the will power to completely rid myself of it, i heard that caffiene can attribute to panic attacks and enxiaty, and that its possible to outgrow it, is this just a phase of my life or will i have to change my life style completely in order for it to go away, my main paranoia is that i will get some form of a lung disease thats terminal, sence i came back from the docter i havent worried as much but i still get weary abit.

  25. lanakb Says:

Me too focus on the panic and it helps

  9. XxxFEARxMYxBLADExxX Says:

Just saying I so can relate and I now have been Disabled from this issue and others as well. Well take care

  10. JDHyatt1989 Says:

i focus on the panic itself, if you try and act normal you run out of enegy in about 2 minutes, then i lose vision and cant hear anything,

if i focus on being in panic instead of hiding it, it goes away quite quickly

    also never smoke weed

  11. pchanson42 Says:

My first attacks were after smoking weed. Same trigger for both of us. Same trigger, same underlying cause? Get your ears checked by an ENT. Inner ear problems were the cause of my attacks. See my other comment.

  12. pchanson42 Says:

Anyone have inner ear problems? Here’s a suggestion: Get the book “Phobia Free” by Harold N. Levinson. get it used on amazon or from the library for I have no financial interest in Levinson’s work, just an emotional one. The book saved my life. Panic free for 16 years from a simple inner-ear medication called meclizine. Get your inner-ears checked, thoroughly. Write me, I’ll send links to 13 medical studies on pub-med showing link between panic/agor and inner ear problems. Correlation:60-90%.

  13. charmain210 Says:

yea i know wat u mean i feel da same things—-my head goes hot n cold head aches–sumthing feels like blood running in my head first time i had it but den they got worse..i learned how 2 controol dem tho but i stll dread dem but stay strong and know ur not alone u can fight dis nd rememberIT CANT KILL U—-so take care

  14. hodge50106 Says:

i agree with only way to make them better is to distract i normally just have to get home and watch t.v

  15. hodge50106 Says:

and only go once your soooo tired you cant keep eyes open and fall asleep and thats only possible if watching t.v. i wish cud get rid of them cause they affect my life cause i worry about them happeneing after ive drank, i only get them after drinking heavy or weed or coke and thats the next day. so ive quit the weed and coke but the drinks hard cause alot of the times i dont get them off drink.

  16. hodge50106 Says:

yea in the back of my neck i get the hot tingles and back of my hands.
i just feel weird, throat drys up and tightens, nose blocks, i figit and reckon crazy stuff when trying to sleep and butterflys in stomach so terrible that im sick. normally after ive smoked weed too, i got my first one when i got stoned, and it was after 8yrs of smoking so it wasn’t like it was my first time, anyone else get them like me? thing is though mine dont just go, they last for over 10hrs sometimes

  17. Drem0raL0rd Says:

I went to a doctor and he said i need to take it simple, i’m tired. But I guess it has something to do with anxiety since i’m feeling like that…

  18. courtez09 Says:

Sounds like a textbook anxiety disorder to me but I don’t know whether you’re having panic attacks or not? You should get some help :) In my opinion, doctors are terrible because they’re not trained in mental health, so a counsellor is a much better option. But whatever suits I guess :) As for the evening I guess it depends on the person. I tend to feel worse in the morning.

  20. courtez09 Says:

Oh sorry I misunderstood. Don’t get me incorrect, a panic attack can certainly feel like you’re fainting, one of the largest fears is passing out/fainting with no control, it just won’t happen like that, its mainly the dread of that.

  21. Drem0raL0rd Says:

I didn’t have a panic attack, i just found out. I have other issues.

  22. courtez09 Says:

    Wtf man?

  23. Drem0raL0rd Says:

    Now i’m frightened..

  24. courtez09 Says:

Its not a panic attack if you’re ‘about to faint’. In an attack your heart and blood start pumping quicker making you more alert. If someone faints during a panic attack, its not a panic attack.

  25. Drem0raL0rd Says:

So few people feel like PKTO92 does. When you’re about to faint, the last thing you reckon about is trying to control them… maybe after it goes away and you feel a bit better, but that’s different.

    treatment of panic attacks

Panic attacks do not last longer than 10 minutes. There are effective medications to treat Panic Attacks. I suggest you see a psychiatrist and a therapist.

I know, I’ve had a history of panic attacks myself. Take Care

    how to treat panic attacks

Well, there are alot of ailments that mimic panic attacks like hypoglycemia for example. But if dread of dying is making it worse, it most likely can be panic and anxiety. I have had panic disorder for over 15 years now, and my best advice to you would be to see a professional and nip it in the bud. Iif it is terrible enough that you are changing your daily routine medication might be the answer

    excellent luck

and i believe panic attacks CAN last longer then 10 min.

Unfortunately, the thing you’re trying to avoid is the best thing to do. Doctors aren’t so frightening, and you can’t do this byyourself. A doctor can place you on something for the anxiety, and you’ll feel SO much better. Eventually, you should see a therapist to get to the bottom of what’s causing the panic attacks. Do this for yourself. You deserve to feel better and live fully.

    treatment for panic attack

Sounds like a panic attack, but one can never be sure. It’s anxiety of some sort. a doctor could really help, but eventually you need to learn relaxation techniques that can help you cool down. First, you should relax or meditate for about 10 minutes to 30 minutes a day. Then when these times come, you can call on that reserve of cool and do this. close your eyes and take a slow deep breath. Take another. Say “Cool, Cool,Collected.” Do that until the feeling passes. Other techniques can be added. There are how to books on relaxation and panic. Excellent luck.

    drugs for panic attacks

It sounds like anxiety and although you do not want to go to a doctor that may be your only way out. If you trying to cool yourself is not helping please go see a professional. It can have so many devastating effects on your head and body. You probably need some medicine and the best place to get it and be monitored is through a healthcare professional.

    natural remedies for panic attacks

You might have anemia- symptoms are similar.

    You also might be hypoglycemic.
Fatigue, insomnia, mental confusion, anxiety, nervousness, mood swings, faintness, headaches, depression, phobias, heart palpitations, a craving for sweets, cold hands and feet, forgetfulness, dizziness, blurred vision, inner trembling, outbursts of temper, sudden hunger, allergies, and crying spells are all symptoms of hypoglycemia.

    panic attack treatment

Panic attacks can be extremely scary. Try to remember that the sensations you are feeling won’t hurt or kill you, and try doing deep breathing to cool down. The problem with panic attacks is that as soon as the first symptoms start, we get frightened and that makes more symptoms which make the dread level climb. They can be controlled with talking yourself through them with calming thoughts. I know what it’s like and have learned to control mine over the years. Try doing as much reading about them as possible because education is your best defense.
