    For some reason I feel the term “black and white has never been so right,” refers to when thinking in absolutes. In this particular instance, it has never been better then trying to stay in the grey. Most people dont want to be ignorant, ie on either extremes; hence black and white. In the case where he says its “never been so right” probably means he’d rather just be dismissive and rid himself of the problem in the form of absolutes.

    “Black and white has never been so right” is not a “term”… it’s a statement, or in this case, a lyric.

    I’m pretty sure it would have something to do with ‘specifics,’ as in, not having a grey area. Rather, in regards to this specific lyric, the lyricist is metaphorically saying that it has never made more sense to have 2 distinct sides, in whatever he’s (poetically) referring to.

    I don’t know how you come to this ‘contradictions in social groups’ theory, but i disagree with it.

    Unlike some of their ancient stuff, this sounds more like choreographed chaos. It’s Genius! Can certainly hear that they’ve taken time with this as the song generally leads from one section to the next unlike a lot of their older stuff, not that that’s not brilliant as well!

    People keep saying they sold out because the sound and gerneral attitude of the band might have changed.

    Here’s the way I look at it. If you tell an 18 year ancient and and a 23 year ancient to right a like letter, will the results be the same?

    Absolutely not. The 18 year ancient’s letter will no doubt be filled with emotion. But it will be raw. The 18 year ancient is not as experienced as the 23 yeard ancient.
